Although Genevieve was raised in Chicago by a physicist father and astrophysicist mother, she decided to pursue her own type of string theory using the cello. She received her Bachelors degree in music from UC Berkeley, California.

She moved to Texas to pursue a Master's degree in music education/psychology at UT Austin. Genevieve’s academic work included numerous research projects and after graduating she joined Fire Studios as a researcher and strategist. In addition to coordinating and conducting research, Genevieve is the sole recipient of the Fire Studios Most Valued Employee award and is relied upon for tech support, information loss prevention, and sound and video editing.
